Hello,  “IF EVERY DAY WAS LIKE CHRISTMAS” is a wonderful song with words to warm the hearts and minds of all of us not only through the Christmas season, but all year through.  The song was written by Red West and Glen Spreen and recorded by Elvis Presley on June 10, 1966, at RCA Victors Nashville studios.  Although the single did not chart it is credited with sales of over 1 million copies.  It was released in 1966 with “HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE” as the “B” side and re-released in 1972 as an RCA Gold Standard Series reissue with the same “B” side.  It also appeared on the 1970 RCA Camden “Elvis’ Christmas Album”.

I would like to share the words to this beautiful Christmas song with you and to wish all of you the blessings of this beautiful Christmas season, peace and happiness in the New Year.

“IF EVERY DAY WAS LIKE CHRISTMAS” by Red West and Glen Spreen

I HEAR THE BELLS…SAYING CHRISTMAS IS NEAR…THEY RING OUT TO TELL THE WORLD…THAT THIS IS THE SEASON OF CHEER…I HEAR A CHOIR…SINGING SWEETLY SOMEWHERE…AND A GLOW FILLS MY HEART…I’M AT PEACE WITH THE WORLD…AS THE SOUND OF THEIR SINGING FILLS THE AIR

(CHORUS) OH WHY CAN’T EVERY DAY BE LIKE CHRISTMAS…WHY CAN’T THAT FEELING GO ON ENDLESSLY…FOR IF EVERYDAY COULD BE JUST LIKE CHRISTMAS…WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD THIS WOULD BE.

I HEAR A CHILD…TELLING SANTA WHAT TO BRING…AND THE SMILE UPON HIS TINY FACE…IS WORTH MORE TO ME THAN ANYTHING…REPEAT CHORUS

Till the next time—Joe
