Hello,  Stevie Wonder will be inducted into the “Apollo Theater Hall of Fame” in New York City.  The theater announced this on Wednesday, February 3, 2011.  Stevie who wrote hit such as “I JUST CALLED TO SAY I LOVE YOU” and a host of other smash hits, will be inducted into the Apollo Legends Hall of Fame on June 13, 2011.

Stevie got his start as the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem in 1962 when he was 12 years old and known as “Little Stevie Wonder”.  He is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.  The June induction cermonies will include a concert and awards ceremony.

His first hit was “FINGERTIPS-PT. 2” in 1963 on Tamla Records (Motown).  Stevie has charted 65 Billboard Hot 100 hits, including 9, #1 hits and 27 Top 10 hits.  He has charted 73 Billboard R&B hits, including 19 #1 hit records and 48 Top 10 hits.  He has been on the Pop charts and R&B charts for 42 years, 1963-2005.  Stevie was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
