Hi,  Ricky Nelson charted so many huge hit records in his career.  Between 1957 and 1959 just about every single had a least one side in the Billboard Top 100, Top 10.  On November 30, 1959 Ricky charted his latest Imperial Records single,  I WANNA BE LOVED / MIGHTY GOOD.  The single became a double-sided hit with,  I WANNA BE LOVED  charting at #20 and remaining on the Billboard Hot 100 for 11 weeks.  MIGHTY GOOD  the rock side of the single charted at #38, remaining on the chart for 9 weeks.  Both sides did well…but should have charted higher…they were that good.

It seems that through the years both sides of the single have been overlooked in favor of tunes such as  POOR LITTLE FOOL,  TRAVELIN’ MAN  and  GARDEN PARTY.  Ricky Nelson made so many good records…he is ranked #22 All-Time by Joel Whitburn in his Record Research  book…”Top Pop Singles”.  In fact he charted 53 hit records on the Billboard Top 100 and Hot 100 charts.

The Golden Era Of Rock & Roll and the Lost Gold Jukebox is proud to present both sides of this 1959 Ricky Nelson recording for you to enjoy.
