Chuck Willis was born Harold Willis on January 31, 1928 in Atlanta, Georgia.  He was called “King Of The Stroll” and also known as the “Sheik Of The Blues” for the turban he wore while performing.  He charted 14 R&B hits between 1952 and 1958.  He died in 1958 at the age of 30.
