Hi,  The answer to yesterday’s question is:  In 1978 The Commodores charted their first #1 Billboard Hot 100 hit record with their wonderful recording of…THREE TIMES A LADY.

Today’s TRIVIA TEASER question is:  The Browns charted two Billboard Hot 100, Top 10 hits…one of them was a #1 hit and the other a #5 hit…can you name these two classic recordings?  Hint: one is from 1959 the other 1960

Leave your answer in the comment box or check back tomorrow for the answer.

Till the next time—Joe

  1. Hi Joe, “The Three Bells” which only made it to No.9 here in the UK in ’59 and “The Old Lamplighter” which did nothing over here. Incidentally I had previous recordings of these two songs on 78’s way back, the former by the Compagnons de la Chanson which was very popular over here around 1950 (we never had record charts in those days), and the latter by Sammy Kaye.. I’ve missed your site these last few days , we’ve had a scorching weekend over here in the West of England so have been making the best of it. All the Best Joe. Mike.

    • Hi Mike Great to hear from you. You are correct on both of your answers…been hot your way? Its been in the low 80s here and is now raining…always great to hear from you…Joe
