Hi,  The answer to TRIVIA TEASER-437 is:  The Dubs charted their classic  recording of  COULD THIS BE MAGIC  in 1957.  The single record would become their biggest Billboard Top 100 hit, charting at #23.  It was their second of three hits they would chart on the Top 100.  The first was  DON’T ASK ME (To Be Lonely) #72 in 1957 and  CHAPEL OF DREAMS #74 in 1959.

Today’s TRIVIA TEASER question is:  Jimmy Dorsey, brother of the legendary Tommy Dorsey and a member of the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra charted two big hit records in 1957.  One was a #2 hit and the other was a #21 hit on the Billboard Top 100.  Can you name these two hit records by the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra?

Till the next time—Joe

  1. Hi Joe. Jimmy Dorsey’s big hit was one of my favourites of 1957, namely “So Rare”. His other hit was “June Night”.( I believe this one was cut after Jimmy’s death. Best Wishes. Mike.
