QUICK FACT–JIMI HENDRIX

Jimi Hendrix began his career as a studio guitarist.  Played with Joey Dee & The Starliters.  In 1965 he formed his own band, Jimmy James & The Blue Flames.  The Animals’ bassist Chas Chandler discovered him at New York City’s Cafe Wha? and invited him to London, where he formed the Jimi Hendrix Experience with Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell.

Jimi died of a drug overdose in September of 1970 at the age of 27.

Till the next time—Joe
