The Teddy Bears charted their only Billboard Hot 100, Top 10 hit on September 22, 1958…Their huge hit record on Dore Records became a #1 hit on December 1, 1958 and remained at the #1 spot for three weeks…TO KNOW HIM IS TO LOVE HIM  remained on the Hot 100 for 23 weeks.

The Teddy Bears were a doo-wop group from Los Angeles, California.  Members included 18-year-old Phil Spector who would go on to produce and write some of the biggest hits of the 1960s, with his “Wall of Sound” recordings.  Carol Connors was the lead singer (she was born Annette Kleinbard) the third member of The Teddy Bears was Marshall Leib.

The Teddy Bears would chart just one more Hot 100 single…OH WHY-#91 and the flip-side…I DON’T NEED YOU ANYMORE-#98 on Imperial Records in early 1959.

THE “GOLDEN ERA OF ROCK AND ROLL” IS PROUD TO PRESENT…THE TEDDY BEARS…SINGING THEIR CLASSIC #1 HIT RECORD…”TO KNOW HIM IS TO LOVE HIM”.
