Hello,  The Quin-Tones were a doo-wop group from York, Pennsylvania.  Members included, Roberta Haymond-lead, Carolyn “Sissie Holmed, Jeannie Crist, Phyliss Carr, Kenny Sexton and Ronnie Scott.  The groups members all attended William Penn High School in York.  Paul Landersman, a disc jockey at WHGB in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania became their manager and had them record four songs.  The first song to be released was  DING DONG  on Chess Records in 1958.  The single record did not chart but the group did get some air-play.

The next single became the groups only Billboard Hot 100 hit record.   DOWN THE AISLE OF LOVE  first released on Red Top records was redistributed by the larger Hunt Records once the record began to sell.  The single made it Billboard Hot 100 debut on August 18, 1958 and became a huge national hit, charting at #18 and remaining on the Hot 100 for 12 weeks.  On September 22, 1958 …
